Beautiful hardwood shade tree with a tropical appearance bears delicious fruit. Dark green compounded lobed leaves that turn yellow in fall. In fall, rich sweet nuts are harvested green. Great for fresh use, baked goods, and desserts. Self-fertile.

Best in moist, deep soils but is tolerant of a wide range of conditions. Slow to get established. Water regularly as needed. Feed in spring with an all purpose fertilizer before new growth begins. Little pruning is necessary.
