Dense dark green foliage with large clusters of dark pink blooms marked with orange freckles in late spring. This broadleaf evergreen makes a great border accent or in mass planting. Developed by the University of Helsinki, Finland.

Prefers moist well drained slightly acidic humus type soils. Can add peat moss, bark mixtures. If in alkaline soils acidify with aluminum sulfate. Water regularly as needed. Feed in spring with an all purpose fertilizer prior to new spring growth. Little pruning is necessary.
