The Frontenac Gris grape is a cold-hardy variety known for its vigor and impressive disease resistance. A natural mutation of the Frontenac grape, its pinkish grapes have a distinctive grey tint. Resistant to many common cold-climate diseases, including powdery mildew and black rot, this grape is a heavy producer, typically used for making white wines. Self-pollinating and requiring regular pruning, the Frontenac Gris thrives in moist, well-draining soil with a sturdy support structure. It also makes an excellent natural screen along fences.
